Malua is For Sale
Sail to distant shore or just up and down the coast Malua will look
after you in all conditions. She was designed and built to do just that and she
has proven her worth. You can sail her single handed, with just
one
other or with a full crew. North Sails Sydney provided a full set
of
sails last season to replace the original set. The sail set up
for reefing is single line furling main, Profule genoa and
staysail operated in the cockpit to the electric winch. A large
full spinaker and reacher both with snuffing sock completes the sail
wardrobe. All sail are operated from the cockpit from electric
winchs.
Yes a one-person operation.
Internally Malua is spacious with portlights that open to give cross
ventilation in the tropics. All bunks have European style inner spring materesses and
lea cloths. The shower is engine heated while the toilet is like
in an aircraft vacumn suction - so one press and into the holding tank.
The integrated keel (lead internal) and skeg hung rubber ensure that you are safe in all situations and nothing will fall off.
Malua was built and passed into 2C NSW survey for off-shore. She
was never chartered but sailed by a single skipper. The
requirement to meet this high standard is not marketing hype but actual
quality and safety standards. Malua can easily be resurveyed and
become a working tax asset not just a hole in the water.
