Batemans Bay is Malua's home port. It took me six years to get into the local marina due to the cronyism within the BB Marina Coop. After writing to the local State Minister and an investigation I was allocated a berth. This upset a number of people who set about attempting to cover their tracks. My goal was achieved when the organisation was passed over for the redevelopment of the marina. The will soon pass into oblivion.
The East Coast of Australia is not a very hospitable place to sail because there are few ports of refuge and the weather can change quickly and very severely.
